I’ve nearly adpoted this fella for myself, but thought I need to share it with you.

With three little legs, stepping up into a slightly rounded belly form, growing into a piece that will bring elegance and warmth to your home. Built by press forming the based on an existing plate, coiling the sides up and then out & round. This piece grew quite organically, without a lot of planning or design. Just allowing the clay to grow and seeing where it will take me is an exciting and playful way to work. Sometimes my mind needs a little freedom.

The piece is built in crank, textured clay which fires to a warm toasty effect. WIth a clear glaze, inside and down to the first step externally. Finished with hand painted lines of gold lustre, these were delicate and satisfying to paint.
